Privacy Policy
The short version: there is no account, and everything you make in the app — your guesses, your quiz record, your bucket list — stays on your iPhone. The sections below explain the parts where a third party is involved: advertising, purchases, the map and the animated pictures.
Who we are
The app is published on the App Store by Hakan Çatı, who is the data controller for the processing described here (“we”, “us”). It is developed and supported on his behalf by BettaDev, which handles privacy and support requests for the app. Privacy questions: privacy@bettadev.com.
What stays on your device
The app keeps the following in its own storage on your iPhone:
- which animals you have guessed on, and what you guessed;
- your quiz record;
- your bucket list, its order, its design and the stickers on it;
- your daily spin: how many spins are left today and which stickers you have won;
- a cached copy of whether you have bought Pro or any sticker packs.
None of this is sent to us. We run no server that receives it, there is no account, and nothing syncs between devices. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
What we do not collect
- No account. The app never asks for your name, email address or phone number.
- No location tracking. Location is read only when you tap the map's locate button — see Location.
- No analytics. The app does not record what you tap or how you use it.
- No payment details. Payments happen entirely inside Apple's App Store.
- No cross-app tracking. The app never shows Apple's tracking prompt, so iOS does not give it your advertising identifier.
Advertising
The free version shows ads supplied by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited). To serve an ad, Google receives technical information from your device — your IP address, device model and operating system, the app and the ad slot being filled — and records whether an ad was shown or tapped. Google acts as an independent controller for this data and uses it to deliver and measure ads and to prevent fraud; see Google's privacy terms. Because the app never asks for tracking permission, iOS withholds your device's advertising identifier from the app and from Google.
Where the law requires consent — including the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland — the app asks before any ad is requested, using Google's certified consent form. Refusing is offered as plainly as accepting, and the app works the same either way. You can change your answer at any time from Shop → Ad privacy options.
The daily spin can offer a short video ad in exchange for an extra spin. No ad is requested until you press the button that says what it is for; the free spin each day never involves an ad.
Buying Pro removes ads completely. With Pro active the app does not load the ad component at all, so no ad request is made and nothing goes to Google for advertising.
Purchases
Pro and the sticker packs are one-time purchases processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your card details or your Apple ID. RevenueCat, Inc. records your purchases for us so they can be restored on a new device or after reinstalling. It identifies you only by a random identifier created by the app, together with the purchase receipts, your device and iOS version and your country — not by your name or Apple ID. Location and the map
The map is Apple Maps. When it loads, Apple receives your IP address and which part of the map was requested, as with any online map; Apple's handling is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
The map has a locate button. Only when you tap it does the app ask for permission to use your location, and then it reads your position once to centre the map and to show how far away each animal is. That position is held in memory only: it is never saved, never sent to us or to anyone else, and it is gone when you close the app. The app never reads your location in the background. If you refuse the permission, everything else keeps working.
Animated pictures
The animal illustrations are built into the app. The animated GIFs on each animal's page are loaded from their original hosts — mostly GIPHY and Tenor — when you open that page. Those hosts see your IP address and which image was requested, as any website you visit does.
Crash reports
The app contains no crash-reporting service of its own. If you have chosen in iOS Settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may pass us anonymous crash reports.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and is not part of Apple's Kids category. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children; if you believe a child has provided some, write to privacy@bettadev.com and we will delete it.
Your rights and deleting your data
Depending on where you live — including under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, Türkiye's KVKK and California's CCPA — you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to complain to your data protection authority.
Because the app keeps its data on your device and we hold no account, you can exercise most of these rights yourself: deleting the app erases everything it stored. For the advertising data Google holds, use the consent controls above and Google's own privacy tools. For purchase records held by RevenueCat, or anything else, email privacy@bettadev.com; we answer within 30 days and never sell personal data.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it, and a new kind of data or a new third party is announced in the app before it takes effect.
